District Golf Day

District Golf  Day at Caerleon Golf Club
Sunday 6th of September 2015


There will be 2 sessions,

Session 1 
will be for Beavers and Cubs – from 10.00am till 12.00hrs

Session 2 
will be for Scouts and Explorers – from 13.00hrs – 15.00hrs


The price for each person will be £2.00 per head. [To cover the cost of equipment and staff].

If a group would like to come as one, we could work something out as we are flexible.

Please could you contact me [Barry Turner] in plenty of time with numbers wishing to take part we would be very grateful because then we will know how many instructors we will require.

JOTT

Over 230 people braved the occasional shower to walk the Trail around Newport Wetlands today.  There were high spirits and everybody enjoyed themselves we think, as there were no complaints.  Not only were there walkers from Newport District but we also had the pleasure to welcome Beavers and Cubs from Panteg in the neighbouring district of Torfaen.  The whole idea of JOTT is that scouting members worldwide walk a Trail on the same day (which is traditionally the 2^nd Saturday in May).  Other info worldwide can be found at jott.org, or for the UK at jott.org.uk”

Flags at the Gang Show # UPDATE

UPDATE 06/05/2015 -

if groups are providing flags can they confirm by Fri 22nd May so we know numbers. Flags to be dropped at theatre at 2 on Sunday no requirement to stay for rehearsal. (Denis M)

The Gang Show are planning a stunning appearance of all the flags in the Scouting and Guiding in the District to open the second half of the show.

Attached is a flyer explaining what they would like of all groups and formations.
