Scouts are presented with awards

A number of Newport District Scouts were presented with their Fire safety awards by the Chief Fire Officer at the Malpas Fire Station. The Scouts were treated to a display of the fire and resuce equipment used in our area.

 A Great night, thank you to the Fire Service. 

A cheque was presented by the DC to the Fire Service Benevolent Fund as a thank you to all the Fire Service personnel for their hard work and time in running this course.

JOTT 2012 (update)

 

 Saturday at the Newport Wetlands and it was a lovely day at last !

Around 250 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Leaders, Family and friends turned out for the Jamboree on the Trail which was once again organised by the Scout Active Support Section. This years event attracted more walkers than last year and the organisers were pleased with the support supplied by all the volunteers who marshalled the event.
