May the 11thearly summer so it must be time for the Beavers, Cubs and the rest of
scouting not forgetting the parents and supporters to take part in the
‘Jamboree on the trail’.
10.30hrs and almost 300 members of the Newport scouting set
off to enjoy the Wet lands and to see how well they get on with the quiz etc. on
route.
The weather was cold, windy and a little wet but did that
stop us all having fun? NO!
The Beavers,
cubs etc all looking the part with their brightly coloured neckers and wellies,
All looking for the very ‘shy’ Welsh miniature Elephants, large birds of prey
and locals with blow darts etc. all taking part in the great adventure that’s
Scouting.
When we reach safety of the main building and the quiz sheets
were handed in and it was time for lunch outside on the grass and not a seagull
to be seen!
Thanks everyone for a great adventure and always a nice
coffee in the main information centre.
