DAFDA Awards Night

A great night was had at the DAFDA's with DC Lynda Mills awarding Newport's very own Chris Carrel of 1st Marshfield the District Commissioner's award for all his commitment to his group and his support within the Newport district.

Keith Daniel was handed the area award in recognition of his many years of scouting and for the support he has given to so many over many years.

Mr Cyril Payne of Torfaen SAS was awarded the Area Commissioner's award. The Area Commissioner, Mr Chris Lee spoke very highly of Cyril and said that he was an inspiration to all who knew and worked with him.

11 TNT scouts attended and gave a superb rendering of “When we were young”.

Dancing went on to 11.45 with everyone enjoying themselves.

Evening suit wanting a new home

Going to the DAFDA, need an evening type suit, then contact Chris Marsh. Her son has lost weight and has a suit spare.

Dates for, in touch, risk assessment and child safeguard training will be announced asap.

All module training courses will need to be booked using standard booking form on Newport web site at least two weeks prior to the course date.
