First Aid - Scouts Training Course

On a dry and sunny Saturday in November, 30 scouts and leaders meet outside the 1st Caerleon  HQ. Where is Dennis ? Sorry there he is, we went off quickly, getting down to becoming First Aiders. This is a full day of action with lots of new skills to be learnt and to improve on some we might have not used for some time?

With this First Aid knowledge it is nice to know that our scouts may be able to save a life in the event of an accident. We practiced CPR, bandage work and saw some horrible slides of accidents, it puts us off lunch!

After lunch more skills are taught and a chance to bandage your mate to make him look like a mummy from the Pyamids of Egypt!

By the end of the day we could all bandage, treat people for fainting  [which came in very useful on Remembrance parade].

Great fun, great Scouting.

Thank everyone for making the day a success.
