Newport's scout section were out in October competing in a "traditional" soap
box Derby and attracting coach loads of spectators who found us
more entertaining than the roman remains!A glorious day resulting in five teams enrolling their home made soap box racing carts for a hard morning of pushing and driving in a series of gruelling races including sprints, relays, obstacle course to test steering and a Le Mans style "4 min" endurance race.
After all the points were totalled a very happy and tired team from 1st Marshfield claimed victory.
