DC’s Bit. January 2011.
Firstly may I take this opportunity of wishing you all a happy and fun filled year ahead
in scouting.
Many thanks to those members who have been actively involved with the
Christmas post scheme, once again we have had some of the worst weather in
which to deliver the post, and I know some groups were out Christmas Eve finishing
off the odds and ends.
Some of you may have seen the article about our roving Argos report Mike B
who had is own story following an emergency landing due to the severe weather
Mike was able to walk away from the plane.
Many Scout groups within the district held Christmas carol services during
December even if the snow attempted to put them off, well done to all who attended
these events.
A very special Well Done to the beavers from 1st Rogerstone who last year
(Dec 2010) took first prize in the Chubb Christmas card competition, they had in the
previous 2 years been runners up.
