11th International Jamboree On The Trail

We walked around a trail (of approx. 2.7 miles) at Newport Wetlands set by the Fellowship, which had 9 checkpoints. Each group had a questionnaire (comprising observation, general knowledge and scouting/guiding questions) to complete during the walk. Attendees included all age ranges from both Scouting and Guiding, and numbered approx. 320 in total.

The City of Newport Mayor and Mayoress joined us on the walk after them having been presented with Thanks badges and a letter from the Chief Scout. This was in appreciation of the Mayor making local Scouting and Guiding his charities for the past year, which ended the same weekend.

Everybody in attendance had a thoroughly good time in such an excellent location and good weather (PS Polly was there and it didn't rain!!).

A BIG THANKS to all those involved in organising and marshalling the event.
