Welcome to the Newport District Website. 

September and the start of another scouting year, with the night already starting to draw in its back to the hut for our weekly meetings. This month the scouts are going a bit fishy with the district fishing training day and the county fishing competition. -- Don't forget to check this years training programme.

The District continues to go from strength to strength as we continue to build on strong foundations. Last year the range of activities laid on by the sections for the youth members was vast, this is the public face of scouting, but a BIG thanks must go out to all of the adults on the various group and district committees that support the active youth leaders, and the adult support section that provide training, support and admin for our adult leaders...
