St Georges Parade 2007 The 22 nd of April marked a very special event, St Georges day, the patron saint of scouting, and to mark the occasion on this the centenary year the entire AREA came together for a parade and service to reaffirm our promises. The parade formed up at the Civic Centre and marched through the City to Rodney parade the home of Newport rugby. It was a truly inspiring to see such a large number of members of all ages out in there uniforms. The service lead by Newport's District Chaplin Rev D. Parfitt. The awesome service was attended by more than a thousand members. Following the service we all paraded back to the Civic Centre to be dismissed. For more photographs of the event please visit:
