Soap Box Derby
September and the Scout section revisited a traditional scouting activity - the soap box derby. In excess of 30 scouts attended the races with a variety of home made racers, some more complete than others!
After some quick adjustments and in one case a complete construction the soap boxes were ready to go. The afternoon had several races including sprints, slalom, relay races and a "Le Mans" inspired endurance race.
The competition was stiff thought the day although as always it was the taking part that counted!
A big thanks go to all those who supported and organised the event - not to mention the people who built the carts. - A good day was had by all.
