All Wales Scout Camp.
Venue the Royal Welsh Show ground.
Well, it was that time again - two years since the last camp and here we are leaving Newport at 18.30hrs all looking forward to another very full weekend of Scouting fun. An hour and half later we arrive and book in.
So, the team work hard setting up camp [home for the next 48hrs]. It was about 21.30hrs by the time all the tents were up and our second cup of tea! Time to put supper on and also a great time to find out what�s on offer during our time at the camp. Friday night and it�s speed dating? So most of the lads were back quite soon although one of the lads seemed to get lucky?
Had supper and on a very clear night it was time for bed? Well - we were tired. Up at 05.30hrs as our neighbours were playing football already! Breakfast on and time for a quick wash for some of us! Breakfast and time to get on our first activities � 09.00hrs and it felt like it was time for lunch already? [Early start]. Quick lunch and off to the lake for the water activities this could be the chance for a quick �power nap� not! But with heat getting hotter Polly and the team found and ICE CREAM VAN and saved the day.
On our return we�re off to try our hand at �fly fishing�, �shooting� and �archery� and �sumo fighting�? Disco after dinner and then supper Hot dogs and chocolate then bed!
Sunday morning and time to get up already? Breakfast and more activities plus the extra hard work of packing the kit away onto the transport before the rain came down [Well Polly was on camp]! 13.30hrs and time to return home by now very tired and ready for home and that was just the leaders!
Back at the HQ all helped to unpack the kit and still find time for a quick game before the folks picked us up and took us home!!
