NEWPORT REMEMBRANCE PARADE 2005
Newport Scouts once again took part in a number of remembrance parades around Newport District including Caerleon and Newport. The District was strongly represented at the parades with members from Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer Scouts, Leaders and Scout Fellowship paying their respects at the cenotaphs for the service and silence.
"WE WILL REMEMBER THEM"
All members on parade were very smart and were a credit to themselves, their section, Group and District.
A big thank you and well done to all those that attended.
"We can truly say that the whole circuit of the earth is girdled with the graves of our dead... and, in the course of my pilgrimage, I have many times asked myself whether there can be more potent advocates of peace upon earth through the years to come, than this massed multitude of silent witnesses to the desolation of war."
