Newport Scouts see all the Queens Horses and all the Queens men.

Its 06.00hrs and we are on Newport railway station so we must be on our way to see the queen during her birthdays trooping colour celebrations. On the train and a chance to breakfast before we arrive some 90 minutes later! London.

 What time in the morning?

Now the fun starts we must get to the Duke of Yorks steps by 09.00hrs to ensure we meet all, the security test? This also the time to find a toilet and meet some of the other Scouts! Most were from the London area. But it was quicker to travel from Wales then the 26 miles across London which over an hour for some the Scouts.

Inside our viewing area and a time for Polly to tell the lads what was about to happen [GREAT]? What a parade, all in step and the bands may our local scouts might learn something from the guards? Music and marching never! [Sorry lads Pollys joke]?

 So thats how its done?

After the parade came the fright to get on the underground and to find BP house for lunch. Lunch well not to everyone choice but Nigel seem to have a full plate? Suitable refuelled its time to visit the science museum. What a great place so much to see and play with.

But its time to get across London back to station to catch our return train home. 19.30hrs back safe if a little tried after a very long day.

For some its all just to much, just a quick nap!

Great day out thanks Nigel, for all your hard work in making it a magic days Scouting! [Lynn dont forget GET YOUR FOOT OFF THE TABLE]!
