The first Wentwood Challenge weekend took place between 17th - 19th June with Scouts taking part from 1st Wentwood Scout Troop and 29th Newport Sea Scout Troop. Camp site? looks like a car park
The aliens have landed - No its just a shower ! On Saturday morning the teams set off at 10 minute intervals to complete a hike and activity bases in the wonderful setting of Wentwood forest.

After 6 hours of hiking on the hottest day of the year so far, the teams arrived running to the finish at the Pike Den, headquarters of 1st Wentwood Scout Group.

A much deserved cold shower was soon available after the ingenious rigging of a kitchen colander, a hose pipe and a large tarpaulin. This was closely followed by a water fight ensuring that everyone got wet.

The day finished with a B -B-Q and camp fire just before the Scouts dragged their weary legs to bed.
Everyone that attended the Weekend Challenge Camp were presented with a memento.
