FIRE AWARENESS COURSE    

Newport Scouts have been taking part in a �Fire Awareness� course held and support by the Fire crews of Malpas Fire Station. The Scouts come from all part of the City spending time looking at and using the different fire fighting equipment, and learning how to be safe in the home. The course was very well supported and was even attended by the Mayor!

A number of home of the Scouts have had visits from the Welsh Fire service and had new fire alarms fitted free! (To find out if your eligible for a free fire alarm visit www.southwales-fire.gov.uk {ED}) 

Well done to the Scouts and the leaders that took part over several weeks. All of the Scouts that attended achieved the fire safety badge. 

A big THANK YOU goes to the Fire Crews who made learning fun for all. The Scouts also raised �75 to be presented to the Fire service own charity.
