24TH
HELP HEALTH INTERNATIONAL

24th
Newport Scouts spent a Friday evening helping to load a shipping
container which is being sent to
Zambia
as part of Health Help Internationals overseas aid programme.
We helped to load all sorts of stuff like wheelchairs, false limbs,
zimmer frames, printing equipment drilling machines and even a
printing press. It was really hard work and it took three hours.
Somehow we managed to get all the stuff in, even the bikes.
Ron
Prosser of Health Help International said:
It
was really good to have your and your scouts help last Friday with the
loading of the container for
Zambia
and it made such a difference. Do please thank the boys for their
help.
Whilst
the container was taken to Bristol docks to start its thirty eight day
sea voyage to Durban we were treated to hot dogs and drinks.
After
the summer we are going to have an evening when Health Help
International come and tell us all about what a difference the stuff
has made to the people of Zambia.
