I.T. at Scouts

    Today at scouts we had an I.T. day. As I came in D and G
    were setting up the laptops and the printer. We started the day by
    talking about the history of the internet and the world wide web. We
    also discussed the dangers of the internet such as viruses. We found
    out that one of the most dangerous viruses is the �Trojan horse�. It
    collects information from your computer and takes it back to the
    sender. Also there are kinds which can shut down your computer
    entirely.

    Next we designed a Flyer for the bring and buy sale using Microsoft
    publisher. We were able to include the time, date and location of
    the sale and added colour to make it more eye catching.


    Finally we discussed whether using a computer is better than doing
    things �the old fashioned way� � for writing messages or making
    notes the old way was much quicker, but for something like making a
    travel booking the internet was a much easier way.
