Newport – Going For Gold (5 For Life Festival).
Saturday 14th February 2009, Newport launches it’s Going for Gold with a festival of healthy eating held at the Gaer Junior School.
Various youth groups were in attendance ranging from dancing to martial arts.
Mr & Mrs DC attended the event to promote what scouting can offer youngsters in Newport. Several enquires were made for potential new members and contact details were given out of the respective groups. Unfortunately no adults at this time approached as to becoming leaders, helpers etc.
